Valid travel document is essential
Dear Passengers!

We expressly point out that a valid travel document (valid passport or valid identity card for EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens) is absolutely necessary to travel on the Twin City Liner.

Currently (initially until October 15, 2025) there is a temporary reintroduction of border controls at the internal border between Slovakia and Austria in accordance with Articles 25 to 29 of the Schengen Borders Code. This means that during this period, crossing the internal border between Slovakia and Austria is only possible at certain border crossing points (e.g., river border: Bratislava Port, Vienna Schwedenplatz), and the entry requirements according to the Schengen Borders Code must be met. This means: Persons may only cross the border with a valid travel document (or, if necessary, a valid visa, etc.).
