In tune with the times

Breguet watches have always played an important role in shipping.
In order to be able to calculate the position of ships at sea, marine chronometers have long been essential for navigation. It is documented that Abraham-Louis Breguet manufactured marine chronometers as early as 1796. With his appointment as watchmaker of the Royal Navy by King Louis XVIII. in 1815 there was regular development of precise marine clocks. His achievements in this area were recognized in 1816 when he was accepted into the Academy of Sciences.

In the following years, Breguet supplied chronometers to the French Navy for decades. In memory of this tradition, the brand launched the Marine collection in 1990. Their models for men and women are designed in such a way that they meet the demands of a modern sports watch, but thanks to their design they can also be worn on many occasions.

The Twin City Liner keeps up with the times. In the Captain's Lounge, the time is kept with a large Breguet watch from the Marine collection.
